    SNAKE LADDER GAME IN TEACHING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT  
 
A.      DEFINITION OF SNAKE LADDER GAME

            Snake ladder is a board game for kids that is played by 2 or more people. The game board is divided into small boxes and in some boxes drawn a number of stairs and snakes that connect it to another box. This game can be played for all subjects and all grade levels, because it contains only various forms of questions that students must answer through the game in accordance with certain levels of classes and subjects. All of these questions have been recorded into one at a time with the game instructions. The teacher can make this media by adjusting the goals and learning material. The purpose of this snake and ladder game is to provide learning motivation to students so that they will always learn or repeat the material that has been learned before which will be tested through the game, so that it feels fun for students. medium, and difficult.

B. THE PURPOSE OF SNAKE LADDER GAME
1. Kinesthetic intelligence
       This game will train and accommodate children who have kinesthetic intelligence. Children will learn to recognize letters, numbers and animal names while doing jumping, running, and walking  back.
2. Linguistic intelligence
       Linguistic intelligence of children will be trained with the introduction of children to animal names, how the child captures the commands given to him or can also be obtained from the communication process that occurs during the game both between children and between the teacher / adult children who accompany.
3. Interpersonal intelligence
       By training in managing children's emotions while playing a game it is not impossible to give birth to child interpersonal intelligence. In this game children will learn to manage their emotions when they lose, fall, win, disputes and so on.
4. Intrapersonal Intelligence
       Because the scale of the game is large and the child will be positioned as a pawn or pawn, it is likely that there will be a dispute during a very large game. This is where the teacher's function to "help" (not intervene) children solve problems that arise. This game will train children to communicate, cooperate, tolerate and solve problems that arise during the game.
5. Visual-Spatial Intelligence

C.  THE ADVANTAGES OF SNAKE LADDER GAME :
1.    Snake ladder game media can be used in teaching and learning activities because these activities are fun so that children are interested in learning while playing.
2.    Children can participate in the learning process directly.
3.     Snake ladder game media can be used to help all aspects of child development one develop logical intelligence mathematics.
4.    Snake ladder game media can stimulate children to learn to solve simple problems without realizing it.
5.    The use of snake and ladder game media can be done both in class and outside class.

D.  THE DISADVANTAGES OF SNAKE LADDER GAME :
1. The use of snake and ladder game media requires a lot of time to explain to children.
2.    Snakes and ladders games cannot develop all learning materials.
3.    Lack of understanding of the rules of the game by children can cause chaos.
4.     For children who do not master the material well will experience
difficulty playing.
 
E. STEP OF SNAKE LADDER GAME IN TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY
a.         The teacher prepares the media in the form of  card containing the questions that are placed next to the number, on the top / front of the card that reads the number from number 1 s.d. No. 50.
b.        Each student prepares paper and stationery.
c.         The teacher divides into several groups based on the number of groups where each group consists of 4 students.
d.        Each student gets a Pawn / paper bearing his name.
e.         Then all the abundance to determine who threw the dice first
f.         Each student throws the dice according to the order.
After the student throws the dice the student runs a pawn / paper bearing his name in accordance with the results of the dice throw, then the student takes the message on the number

g.         If it falls on the ladder sign then the Pion / paper student rises according to the direction of the ladder and still takes the card to work, as well as the pawn / card is right on the snake tail image / pawn. i.          Each student thinks of the answers / questions from the cards they hold.

o.        Teachers provide value based on student activity, speed in work, and the courage of students to appear to read the results. As well as the courage of students to provide responses, compatibility between questions and answers.
            For students who win this game will get more grades and will be given several prizes so that the students will be excited to follow this learning method and each student is divided into groups of 1 group of 4 people.
